Credit/debit cards

We accept: Visa (all countries), MasterCard (all countries), American Express (all countries except Brazil and Malaysia), Discover (U.S. and Canada only), JCB (Japan only), Diners Club (U.S. and Canada only), and UnionPay (China only).

By using Stripe as our billing partner for processing credit card payments, we're able to offer you a secure and convenient billing process. Your credit card information is not stored on our servers. Instead, it is securely encrypted on Stripe's servers, which has been PCI-accredited to PCI Service Provider Level 1. For more information on the safety of Stripe, see their security information page: https://stripe.com/docs/security/stripe.

Your credit card is processed differently (and by different entities) depending on where you reside.

  • Clients from the European Union, EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom are processed through Stripe UK for MyWikis Europe. This is also known as the "EU/UK credit/debit card" payment method.
  • Clients from the United States, Canada, and the rest of the world are processed through Stripe USA for MyWikis LLC. This is also known as the "Credit/debit card" payment method.

PayPal

As of January 8, 2021, we accepted PayPal from existing clients who have paid with credit/debit cards for at least one billing cycle. We only accept USD payments through PayPal. Due to recent developments, European Union/EEA, UK, and Canadian clients cannot use PayPal. (Exception: Canadians can use PayPal if paying with USD.) For more information on how to pay with PayPal, see Paying with PayPal.

Between August 2018 and June 19, 2019, we accepted both PayPal and Stripe. Customers who joined MyWikis prior to June 20, 2019 may continue using PayPal, but we encourage switching to Stripe if possible. Part of the reason we phased out PayPal is because we're able to offer a smoother billing experience with Stripe (which we could not offer through PayPal), so we recommend you take advantage of it. Please contact support if you need assistance with making this switch; we'd be happy to help! From June 20, 2019 to September 14, 2020, we only accepted credit/debit cards via Stripe.

However, as of January 8, 2021, we have reestablished PayPal as a payment method for clients who have paid with a credit/debit card for at least one billing cycle. This requirement is in place to reduce fraud. We only accept USD payments through PayPal. To switch to PayPal, contact our billing team and see Paying with PayPal.

U.S. bank accounts (ACH)

As of September 14, 2020, we started accepting ACH payments from U.S. bank accounts.

As of March 14, 2021, you can get a 5% discount when you use your U.S. bank account to pay rather than credit card. For more information on how to pay with your U.S. bank account, see Paying with your bank account.

EU/EEA/UK bank accounts (SEPA, BACS/CHAPS/FPS)

As of March 14, 2021, we started accepting SEPA and BACS/CHAPS/Faster Payments System (FPS) payments from EU and UK bank accounts, respectively.

As of March 14, 2021, you can get a 5% discount when you use your EU/EEA/UK bank account to pay rather than credit card. For more information on how to pay with your EU/UK bank account, see Paying with your bank account.

Check by mail

If you live in the United States, you can send us a check by mail via USPS standard First Class Mail. We will send you the address to send it to—do NOT send it to the address listed on your invoice!

Please note you can only begin using your services after we have received and cashed out your check. You will also need to pay for your own postage.

If you want to use check by mail, please contact our billing team by creating a ticket and they will assist you with the next steps.

Currencies accepted

As of July 30, 2020, we accept the following currencies:

  • USD - United States dollar
  • GBP - Pound sterling
  • EUR - Euro
  • CAD - Canadian dollar

Previously, all payments were accepted as USD, requiring an exchange fee for customers not using USD. We are excited to provide support for customers whose home currency are in this list. In addition, we have made GBP the default currency for UK-based clients and EUR the default for Eurozone-based clients.

Which currency am I charged in?

The country in which you resides determines the currency in which you are charged.

  • U.S. dollar: United States, Canada (if you choose), and all other countries except those listed below
  • Canadian dollar: Canada
  • Euro: European Union, European Economic Area, and Switzerland
  • Pound sterling: United Kingdom

Can I pay with my country's currency?

Our credit card processor will collect the amount in the currency of your credit or debit card, by using the fair mid-market exchange rate specified on their websites (Visa, Mastercard).

For instance, if your credit card is from Australia, your card will be charged in Australian dollars at the exchange rate at the time of transaction. Your price is based off of U.S. dollars.

For instance, if on a particular day, 1 USD = 1.30 AUD, then, if you paid for a US$9.99 invoice on that day, you would be charged AU$12.99 by our credit card processor.

If your currency is not mentioned on this page, we do not natively collect in that currency. This is because we are a global company that accepts clients from almost all countries, and it would be impossible for us to maintain rates for every single currency. Therefore, we only maintain rates for currencies with a significant amount of clients using it.

Does it matter who collects my payment?

Everyone receives the same service no matter which one of our divisions collects your payment. The only difference is in billing and which entity officially offers you services.
