What does it mean for my wiki to be quarantined?

Wikis that have not been actively maintained and are the victim of a spam attack will be quarantined. This is done for several reasons: protecting your wiki, warding off spam bots, and protecting the safety of our servers and the stability of our systems.

If your wiki is quarantined, this means it will no longer be publicly accessible from the internet, but will continue to exist on our servers temporarily. If the wiki owner does not contact us within 3 months of the quarantine occurring, we reserve the right to delete the contents of your wiki. We make every effort to remove the spam and preserve the legitimate content; however, this is not always possible, especially when the extent of the spam is widespread and not caught early.
