Creating a MediaWiki 1.35 wiki

MediaWiki 1.35 was released on September 25, 2020. To accommodate this new version as quickly as possible, MyWikis has a special process for wiki owners interested in using MediaWiki 1.35.

  1. Create a wiki normally as you would by getting started at https://www.mywikis.com/createawiki
  2. Once your wiki has been created, it will be on MediaWiki 1.31. Don't start using it yet, as content on this wiki will not be ported to MediaWiki 1.35.
  3. While you're signed in to the MyWikis Client Panel, create a support ticket at https://www.mywikis.com/contact with subject "New wiki 1.35"
  4. We'll migrate your wiki to MediaWiki 1.35. Once that's done, we'll let you know.
  5. Done! You'll be able to use your wiki on the latest version, MediaWiki 1.35!
