Importing Wikipedia templates into your wiki

One of the great benefits of MediaWiki is the Wikipedia-style templates you can place into your wiki to give it the same professional feeling as Wikipedia.

Looking to add an infobox to your wiki? The easiest way to create an infobox is by using the Page Forms extension. You can install it onto your wiki via MyWikis Self Service. Then, go to Special:CreateTemplate on your wiki, where you can specify which fields it should contain. At the bottom, for the output format, specify it as "Side infobox" style. You can then press "Save page" and use your new infobox template!

If you're on MyWikis Pro or above, we import templates for free. To take advantage of our free templates import service, open a support ticket, and let us know which you'd like out of the following:

  • Infobox (recommended)
  • Notice
  • Navbox
  • Ambox

You can also request for other templates not listed here, and we'll let you know if it's possible for us to import them.
